Open the Managing Annoyances file.
1) Under "Dealing with Spam"
A) Scroll to paragraph 8 Where it reads:
One of the most effective way to report spammers is to mail it to the
massads team. Open your email client, and paste a /whois of the spammer,
the time you were spammed (and what time zone you are in), a copy of the
spam
and some kind of link to the channel ops if you can find it. Send this
information
to massads-report@dal.net.
Delete this paragraph and add the following:
One of the most effective way to report spammers is to report it to the
massads team.
Due to the surge of virii that scans for email addresses on websites, the
massads team
only accepts online reports. You can do so by filling out the form at
http://www.dal.net/admin/contactmassad.php3. Be sure to include
the logs, and
the /whois of the spammer/ advertiser/ inviter.
B) Now in the same section, go to the line where it reads:
Your best line of defense is to log the spam, get the /whois of the spammer,
and send it to
massads-report@dal.net. You will not see an immediate response, but this
will give the DALnet
massads team an opportunity to investigate and take action.
Change it to the following:
Your best line of defense is to log the spam, get the /whois of the spammer,
and provide the
information in the form at
http://www.dal.net/admin/contactmassad.php3. You will
not see an immediate response, but this will give the DALnet massads team an
opportunity to
investigate and take action.
C) In the Summary:
Change massads-report@dal.net to
http://www.dal.net/admin/contactmassad.php3
Translate the document the best way and save the file as annoyxx-1.0.3.xml
(Where xx is the domain
of your country)
Happy translating.
